My daughter said that the days after Thanksgiving are her favorite. Why?Because she gets to eat the leftover apple pie for breakfast.
I'm thankful that she's wise enough to enjoy the simple things in life.
And before you judge -- apple pie isn't much different than an apple turnover or other like-minded pastry, right? I'm really trying to convince myself here . . .

Apple Pie is a time-honored breakfast at our house, as is Pumpkin Pie. YUM.
I like that you let her eat pie on the days after Thanksgiving. And it's sweet she enjoys the privilege.
Apple pie is most certainly an acceptable breakfast.
